Solward was founded in 2023 as a spin-off from a group of companies with over 20 years of experience in photovoltaics.
Our vision is clear: to promote solar energy as a primary resource for a sustainable future, placing at the center not only major players but also small and medium-sized enterprises that want to invest in renewables.
From the outset, we chose to specialize in small to medium installations (1–15 MW), a segment often overlooked by large operators yet offering major opportunities for agricultural businesses, SMEs, and local communities.

Our story
The milestones that helped us grow
Every organization has key moments that define its identity. Our story starts with experience, grows with vision, and solidifies through deliberate choices that set us apart in the photovoltaic world.
2021 – Solward project concept
We envisioned solutions for 1–15 MW plants, a market segment that had been largely underserved. From there, a vision took shape that brings together technology and sustainability.
2022 – Prototyping and wind-tunnel testing
With the experience gained and the trust of our first partners, the company is officially founded. Trackers and fixed structures reach the market as the first step toward growth.
2023 – Official founding of Solward
Official founding of Solward and market launch of trackers and fixed structures.
2024 – First agrivoltaic plant supplied
The first agrivoltaic plant is delivered, proving that agriculture and energy can coexist. A practical confirmation of Solward’s philosophy.
2025 – Over 100 MW supplied in Italy
In just a few years, we pass the milestone of 100 MW supplied in the Italian market, consolidating Solward’s role as an innovative, reliable player.
